Personal 365 Project - Week 7
I am challenging myself to document the authentic, in-between moments for my family. This is what our 2017 looks like . . .
Daddy usually takes you guys to the pool on the weekends, but he’s traveling so I kept the calendar open and was able to take you. The high dive was closed for the day so you both got your thrills on the slide.
The night before Valentine’s Day has the kitchen table looking like a cupid’s workshop.
A rainy week makes for restless kids and indoor soccer seems the perfect outlet.
Henry – you’re doing your weekly “Book in a Bag” assignment where you have to read a book out loud every day, answer some questions, and create an illustration. This is not your favorite activity, but I’ve noticed you’re much more confident now as you read out loud to me - and sometimes I hear you reading out loud in your bedroom – well past lights-out!
Anna – you and Henry both learned to play “Happy Birthday” for my birthday last month, and as you’re counting down the days until you turn seven, you’ve been practicing a little bit extra.
It warmed up a bit at the end of the week and after school we spent a few hours at the village playground. Anna, you still love the swings, while Henry is most entertained looking for bottle caps or other interesting treasures that might have been left from the night before.
Anna – you were my helper this morning as we tried a new quick bread recipe. You love to break the eggs and you’re already a pro at using the big mixer – but of course your favorite part is licking the beater.
