Personal 365 Project | Week 16 - Ramstein Family Photographer

April 23, 2017

I am challenging myself to document the authentic, in-between moments for my family. This is what our 2017 looks like . . .

Happy Easter!! While looking through your Easter baskets in the house you noticed some candy in the yard outside. Turns out your worries the night before that the Easter bunny wasn’t real were unfounded! Before I could hobble outside on my crutches you two were off and running and I was lucky to get a shot of the excitement!

Today was the day I got my cast cut off!! I was given the green light to start putting weight on it but to continue to use crutches for another week. I completely underestimated how much the cast would have atrophied my muscles and it’s clear that getting back up on my feet is going to be a long and slightly painful process.

The Easter bunny left you each a jump rope and you’ve both gotten quite good. I think Anna’s record is 11 jumps in a row and Henry likes to swing the rope backwards.

Henry – you have dog fever! I wish so much that you could have the experience of having a four-legged BFF, but it just doesn’t fit with our lifestyle right now. Maybe one day soon! You and Daddy just started reading Where the Red Fern Grows and you love the book and your special time with Daddy.

Apr 21

I found you two working on word puzzles in the warm sun. I love how you are working together – and I also notice how beat up that bench got in its move from Qatar.

Apr 22

You came running downstairs excited to show off your new hair style! We bought this ridiculous red tutu at our favorite silly store in Doha, Al Rawnaq, over a year ago and every once in awhile you find a new way to use it.
