Personal 365 Project | Week 28

July 16, 2017

I am challenging myself to document the authentic, in-between moments for my family. This is what our 2017 looks like . . .

July 9

We went to Garmisch for the weekend and were thrilled to find snow!

July 10

We brought our bikes with us and enjoyed the beautiful bike paths, but poor Anna had an accident on a steep gravel hill. I suggested we walk the bikes down it, but no one else thought that was necessary. Anna was the first to go and while applying the brakes the bike started skidding and in true Anna style, there was a lot of screaming! For a very long time. I understand - it was scary to feel out of control. Later, we rode the alpine roller coaster and Anna declared it, “Best day of my life!!!!”

July 11

Made it to the top of Zugspitze – the highest peak in Germany.

July 12

I took you both out practice using my camera. We had to dodge rain showers throughout the afternoon and Henry took this picture of me with Anna. I love it so much.

July 13

Truthfully, this picture was taken yesterday – but how could I not include it? This was one of the pictures Anna took – I love that it’s at her eye level which apparently cuts off my head. I love how my little guy hugs me. I don’t love how tall he’s getting! Henry, after you saw this picture you wanted to know how tall you were, so we measured – 47 inches.

July 14

We went out exploring and Anna found a feather. Daddy always points out the hawks, so when I told you this was a hawk’s feather, it immediately became a treasure.

July 15

All the rain means giant puddles!
