When Mom reached out about a maternity session, she wanted to make sure we could find a place that would work for their first baby, their dog Scout. I knew the tall grass at the fields at Manassas National Battlefield Park would be perfect for them! We made a plan and set a date and I was looking forward to documenting this couple's last few weeks before they meet their first son.
The day of the session was chilly and windy - gusts were around 20 mph and we almost postponed - but an impending due date leaves little room for flexibility so we went for it! Mama was shivering - but she toughed it out and she looks aahhhhmazing!
It was definitely cold - but I love the element of wind in the images we created for this session!
Not only am I so glad we did this session on the day we planned despite the weather - but Baby Will decided to come a month early and arrived just a few days after his maternity session. You can see his in-home newborn session here!
